What is it all about?

The Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness gives learners a basic understanding of fire safety that is required within a business. By the end of the course they will be able to recognise that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise the contribution they have in preventing the starting and spread of fires.

Is it suitable for me?

The Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness is a suitable qualification for anyone who is new to a workplace, or an existing member of staff requiring a skills refresh.

How will I be assessed?

This qualification is assessed by completion of a multiple-choice examination, the learner must answer 10 correct questions out of 15 to pass. This qualification is registered on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at Level 1 and holds a credit value of 1.
