What is it all about?
The Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid is designed for those learners wishing to become an emergency paediatric first aider in the workplace with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children. This qualification is intended for learners already working or preparing to work in the industry
Is it suitable for me?
This qualification is intended for learners such as parents and relatives, pre-school or nursery staff, toddler group volunteers, childminders and nannies, au pairs and foster parents, or those responsible for caring for infants and children who are not required to have an Ofsted/EYFS qualification, but want to learn about emergency paediatric first aid. Once this qualification is achieved it must be renewed every 3 years to remain valid.
How will I be assessed?
The Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid is assessed by learners undertaking a practical assessment of their competence along with a short open response knowledge assessment, where learners are required to provide a short response to a prescribed series of questions.
