What is it all about?

The Level 2 Award in Licensed Hospitality Operations provides individuals with an overview of running a licensed hospitality premises, this could include pubs, restaurants, bars, sports & social clubs, hotels & nightclubs. The qualification consists of 12 modules, these are; Health & Safety at Work, Financial Management, Cash Security & Stock Control, Key Legislation for Retailing Responsibly & Trading within the Law, Crime Prevention, Employment Law, Recruitment, Induction & Management of Staff, Marketing & Merchandising, Customer Service, Product Knowledge & Preparation for Service, Catering & Gaming & Machine Income

Is it suitable for me?

The Level 2 Award in Licensed Hospitality Operations has been developed to provide those new to running, or looking to run a licensed retail premises with an overview of the areas of management responsibility that are essential for them to know to ensure that they are able to run their business successfully. It is applicable to anyone who is currently working or looking to work in the hospitality sector.

How will I be assessed?

Following three days of training, the Level 2 Award in Licensed Hospitality Operations is assessed by a closed book, multiple choice examination. The Level 2 Award in Licensed Hospitality Operations is registered on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at Level 2 and holds a credit value of 3.
