What is it all about?
This award will help candidates to ensure that their beer is consistently served at an optimum condition, which in turn aims to increase sales and decrease wastage of product. By the end of the course candidates will understand beer products, know how to maintain hygiene standards at the bar, learn about glassware, pulling the perfect pint and how to maintain a safe and efficient working cellar.
Is it suitable for me?
The Level 2 Award in Beer and Cellar Quality is aimed at business and staff required to handle and care for cask and/or keg beers, as well as anyone required to maintain a safe and hygienic cellar. Typical job roles this qualification is suitable for bar staff, supervisors responsible for cellar management, anyone serving cask and keg beers.
How will I be assessed?
The Level 2 Award in Beer and Cellar quality is delivered over one day. The course tutor will assess your practical knowledge throughout the day and then you will undertake a 45 minute multiple-choice examination at the end of the course.
