BESPOKE U-LEARN EXCEPTIONAL LEARNERS PROGRAMME

Programme Overview








This is a specialist programme engaging with, supporting and empowering learners generally on a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to overcome their barriers to perform in a wide variety of contexts, improving their chances in the future of finding sustainable and realistic employment and being able to live as independently as possible. 

This programme has been designed to support Learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in their homes, educational settings and more bespoke learning environments to allow learners to access support in education and Life skills that they may not have been able to access in Mainstream schooling or colleges.  

Access Training will oversee the development and continuing progress of the U-Learn Exceptional Learners Programme by: 

  Developing and maintaining productive relationships with both the Learner, Parent and Carers, Specialist Providers, Statutory SEND Team and Access Training staff. 

  Assessing the learner's strengths and weaknesses and build on their skills for work and life, working towards them being able to perform tasks unaided, if possible. 

  Being aware of, monitoring and reporting on the experiences of the learner and what they have achieved each week to the designated member of the Senior Management Team. 

  Planning and Preparing and providing relevant paperwork to the senior management team and external organisations where required for continual input and monitoring progress. 

  Liaising with the Specialist Provider and Youth Workers to ensure the best possible support is provided. 

 

Access Training use a Holistic approach for the Exceptional Learners programme enabling young people who have had previous difficulties and challenges in accessing education or participating in the community.
