What is it all about?

This qualification is part of the BIIAB Hospitality Business Management Programme. The qualification consists of three mandatory units that form the Level 3 Award in Hospitality Business Management plus an additional four units that can be selected from the following available units: Unit 4—Customer Service Procedures, Unit 5 Training Design and Delivery, Unit 6—Sales Promotions and Merchandising, Unit 7—Business Planning, Unit 8—Profitable Food Management, Unit 9—Managing Capital Expenditure, Unit 10—Stock Control, Unit 11— Recruitment and Employment Practice and Unit 12—Profit through Accommodation.

Is it suitable for me?

The Level 3 Certificate in Hospitality Business Management has one simple aim: to improve business skills and give practical knowledge to help profitability, productivity and careers. The programme is aimed at experienced licensed retailers who own or manage business such as; pubs, bars, hotels, restaurants, night-clubs or any other venue or site where alcohol is sold.

How will I be assessed?

The Level 3 Certificate in Hospitality Business Management units are studied in the classroom in a single day per unit, this is supported with self study prior to the course. At the end of each day, there will be a one and a half hour examination for each unit. This qualification is registered on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at Level 3 and holds a credit value of 14.
