Anyone wishing to work in the private security industry requires a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence to practise. The BIIAB Level 2 Award for Working as a Security Officer within the Private Security Industry is a nationally recognised industry standard qualification and successful completion of the course along with a satisfactory criminal records history will enable an individual to apply for an SIA Security Guarding Licence. The qualification comprises of 3 units and is run over 3 days.
